I receive criticism from the left and the right. Here in Narragansett several Republicans back the abusive Town Council Members I desperately hope will never serve in public office again. They are mostly supported by Trump supporters in Town, though they all claim to be Independent. One thing for sure is that they are not Democrats frequently referring in public meetings to other Council Members as socialists or communists.
Below is a back and forth with a real Republican who hates spending money on a local library. He is a former supporter turned angry at me. It disappoints me that Republicans are so divided .

Is that why you spent $800,000 of you and Laurie Kelly’s kids inheritance on a feckless campaign for congress a few years back against Jim Langevin? Perhaps your (collectively) campaign for Town Council and the Library Chair fundraising is about you recouping some of those funds with your activism and public service. What services are you paid for in these activities in the so called’ public interest. Please let us all know what boards, commissions , and government agencies you currently serve on? And what your financial advisory company is being paid by any?

Jim ,you are rambling, I have disclosed my possessions in Government filings several times including recently with Kelly's disclosure filings. You can find it all there . You can also find that we are one of the largest property taxpayers in Narragansett and care very much about how out taxpayer dollars are spent. I have spent 15 years monitoring and criticizing Pension Accounting across the country and the State of Rhode Island including Narragansett. I served on the Towns pension board. I was chair of the Charter review committee in 2012 where I was thwarted by Democrats in implementing an Narragansett ethics policy that included enforcement. Sadly it turns out your trumpy republican friends Lema, Lawler and Mannix are among the biggest violators of those ethics reforms. I am on the Board of Southeastern Legal Foundation and Chair of the finance committee where we have done significant work in EPA regulation and FISA Court investigations against Obama and Hillary operatives.

None of these public service positions come with any compensation at all. Town Council members receive more. All this volunteer work is heart felt, full throated support of free market capitalism and individual liberty and freedom. Abusive tyrannical behavior by Government Officials at any level ,regardless of political party, is to be rejected and that includes your pals Lawler , Lema and mannix. You call yourself a Republican and so do I. I guess we just view our roles and use ourtime differently.
